Autumn

I hate to even say it but it is so nice to finally get her to sleep so I can blog about her sleeping! Love this little one!

Walk around Bountiful Pond

I can't even remember which day we went on our walk. It could have been Monday? Who knows. But Autumn loves the movement of the car and being in the stroller. We have been neglecting Bear and decided to take him to Bountiful Pond and throw the Frisbee...until he broke it and then a stick was a quick replacement.

It was actually really cold out on this day. I guess it wasn't too bad but was chilly.

Little Autumn was nice and warm. One of Matt's clients made this cover for the car seat and also made the quilt type thing that you wrap them in once in the car seat. It is wonderful and cute and we love it. Was so thoughtful.
It was nice to get out and go for a walk. I have actually been able to get out a few times this week and get walking. I am going to shoot for at least the 10,000 steps a day goal. Starting tomorrow. I got quite depressed trying to fit into all my pants and couldn't get them on. So whatever I can do I am going to do until my check up to see when the Doc will give me the OK to work out. It is quite intimidating to think about working out but I will do it and get back in the shape I was before and better!
Like someone told me it took me 9 months to gain all the weight, I better give myself 9 months to loose it. OH I just wont think about it. I have a beautiful baby that is healthy and were happy!

2 week check up

On Tuesday we went in for Autumn's 2 week check up and Doc said she is looking great! She is now 20.5 inches long and weighed 7. 85 lbs. She is in the 56% centile. She is just growing so quickly! We also had to get her blood drawn and they gave her a prick on her heel and needed to draw enough blood to fill 6 little circles and poor girl learned how to cry! It was so hard to hold her and see her really cry for the 1st time. Ohh it broke my heart!

That night let me just say I didn't get any sleep. She was up every other hour and then around 4:30 she was up and not wanting to lay down by her self. I had the hardest time staying awake. And she didnt actually lay down and sleep till about 11:45 later that day. UGH!!! Wow, I thought we had a perfect sleeper on our hands. It was a rough day. I was sleep deprived and needed some much needed sleep. Matt came home around 5:30 and let me sleep for a couple hours and woke me when baby girl needed to eat. It is amazing how much just a couple hours of sleep made me feel so much better. Matt got up last night and put some ear plugs in his ears...Poor guy.

Last night was a whole lot better. We both went to bed around 9 and she woke for the first time around midnight and then the next was around 5 and then again around 8 and let me try to sleep with her until 11!!!! Yes I slept until 11! Of course waking a couple times to her coos and rubbing her to fall back asleep. She did great last night. We will see how tonight goes.

Measurements

Well Little Autumn was measured and weighed yesterday. She is in the 50 percentile for height and weight. She now weighs 7 lb. 9 oz. and is 19 3/4 inches long. Just to journal her head circumference was 14". We will see how well her brain grows! ;) It is great to hear she is growing healthy and strong.
Autumns little umbilical cord fell off yesterday. She has such a cute little outie of what I can tell. So she gets that from her Dad. But we all know Matt now doesn't have a belly button anymore. Those of you who don't know the story I am sure he would love to tell you.

Our little one has been very active the last two days. She seems like a different child from my last posts. She is awake more often and loving to be held and cuddled. I am so in love with her. I love to play the staring game. She is so beautiful and love looking at her face and her beautiful features. I am excited to learn about her every minute.

I am still wondering her eye color. You can't tell yet what color of eyes she has yet? Matt said today they kinda look Blue and then said Green. I think they look green but at times they look brown. It will be fun to see what color comes in. Another milestone I am excited to get to.

Lets see what can I think of that I should journal so I never forget each moment with her. Autumn likes to suck on her hands. That is when I go for her Binky. She doesn't like the Binky very often though. She will take it after a feeding or right before when I am trying to get ready to feed her and am taking my time. She likes to stretch and move her arms and legs a lot. She is really good about moving her head to follow sounds and will watch me when she is sitting in the rocker.

I love my Babies Daddy!

Soo... I love the pain medication the doctor had prescribed. I had forgotten to take it all day. I was at my parents house putting some things together and I finally got to the point where I was in so much pain. I felt like I was having contractions, and I have been recovering from being sick and coughing some deep coughs that did not help my abdominal at all. I left my parents crying (not letting them know, ha (don't feel bad Mom)).
I got home and called Matt and asked him if he could come take care of Autumn while I took a hot bath and tried to take a nap. Matt rushed home and let me take the hottest bath I have taken in 9 months and tried to sleep a bit. It was much needed...oh yeah I was able to take my meds and let them kick in. Two hours later I wake to Matt playing the guitar for our baby girl and learned he had changed his first diaper. He said he was going to freak out about the mess but sucked it up and changed her diaper in a flash. Way to go Matt...may more to come! ;)
Here is a pic of our little sleeping beauty.

Matt last night holding Autumn.

Autumn Has been sleeping ALL day today and has only woken like 5 times and ate around 5-10 minute increments. I am thinking this is a growth spurt or something. I should have been sleeping while she is. I wonder if she will be up all night tonight. We will see I guess. Here is some pics of her sleeping and finally waking up! (Below) She looks all alert and what not but once I start to feed her she is out with in 30 seconds.
